Miceala Shocklee is a freelance writer, blogger activist, and serial heartbreaker (due to an unruly brain, she tears her own apart and stitches it back together several times daily). Born and raised in the Midwest, Miceala has since escaped to the sunny valleys of southern California. Words are her preferred life medium, though she also keeps up a serious dancing habit. When not writing, Miceala works at a wildlife refuge in the Angeles National Forest.
